Next Steps in the Prescription Documentation and Approval Process
This process is for patients who have previously been prescribed weight loss medication and want to continue treatment at the same dose when starting with Fridays. Submitting past prescription documentation allows our clinical team to review your history and determine if you're eligible to continue without starting at a lower dose.
Step 1: Submission of Prescription
Once you have uploaded your prescription, the following actions will occur:
Your submission will be forwarded to the provider for a detailed review.
Keep an eye on your email for updates or any additional information requests. The provider may contact you directly for clarifications.
Step 2: Review and Pending Approval
Once your documents are received:
The back-office team and your provider will assess the information submitted to decide on the next steps. You will receive an update once the review is complete.
For high-dose medication approvals, the medication team will notify you of their decision after reviewing your submitted lab results and prescriptions.
Step 3: Troubleshooting Delays
If your medication request has not been reviewed within five days:
Verify that you have completed all required steps in the patient portal.
If issues persist, contact support to expedite the approval process.
Step 4: After Approval
When your prescription has been approved:
Your medication will be shipped to the address on file within 5-7 business days.
You will receive an email notification from the shipping carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, or USPS) with a tracking number once the shipment label is created.
Additionally, track the status of your medication on the "My Meds" page in the patient portal.
By following these steps, you can ensure a seamless experience with the prescription documentation and approval process. If you experience any issues at any stage, do not hesitate to contact support for assistance.
