To start saving or investing with Kernel, you will need to ensure your account is fully set up and verified - both your identity (ID) and address.
Verifying your ID
You can verify your ID as part of the initial account registration process. Simply sign up or log into your Kernel account then follow the prompts.
If your ID verification has failed as part of our digital registration process, we will need to do a manual verification. To do this, please email support@kernelwealth.co.nz with proof of ID using one of the following documents:
NZ Drivers License
NZ Passport
International Passport (this will need to be witnessed and signed by a Justice of the Peace (JOP), more info here).
Verifying your address
You can verify your address as part of the initial account registration process. Simply sign up or log into your Kernel account then follow the prompts.
If your address verification has failed as part of our digital registration process, we will need to manually verify the address. To do this, please email support@kernelwealth.co.nz with provide proof of address using one of the following documents:
A utility bill such as power, gas, water, or internet
A council rates letter
A document from a registered NZ Bank
A document from a NZ insurance company
A document issued by a Government agency
A rental agreement
The document must be no more than 12 months old, addressed to you, and match the address that you signed up to Kernel with.
We can accept an electronic copy of these documents, for example, an internet bill you received via email.
