Introduction: Getting started with KEY ESG

Welcome to KEY ESG! KEY ESG is your all-in-one platform designed to make managing ESG data effortless. From automated data collection to real-time reporting and actionable insights, we help you stay on top of evolving regulations while improving your sustainability performance. With KEY ESG, you can track progress, set meaningful targets, and confidently drive your ESG strategy - all in one place. Say goodbye to spreadsheets and hello to seamless ESG management!

Simple steps to get started

Now that you successfully logged in to the KEY ESG platform, here a few steps to take to get your platform ready for data collection:

  1. Adding new users: You can invite new users to the platform to facilitate collaboration and review during the data collection campaign. Navigate to "Users" in the lefthand menu under SETUP and assign a role based on the level of access you would like to assign (Admin, Team Member, Data Gatherer). For further information on roles, and inviting new users, see this article.

  2. Creating entities: Entities refer to any part of your organisation, from offices and factories to renewable energy installations like solar panel or wind farms. Accurately defining these entities is essential because they form the foundation for how your data is collected, tracked, and reported. Navigate to "Entities" on the lefthand menu under SETUP and create your entities that your organisation wishes to track KPIs for, enter the entities informatin, and assign an owner to that entity. For further information on creating entities, please see this article.

  3. Creating custom metrics: If your organisation would like to track metrics that are not included in your fund managers requested set of KPIs, then you can create your own custom metrics using KEY ESG's custom metric maker. Yu can select the category, name, question type, and add helpful resources and further information to help your colleagues answer this question accurately and fully. For further information on creating custom metrics, please see this article.

Now you are ready for the final step of preparing your KEY ESG portal for data collection: setting up your data request.
