How to Start a Recording
1. Allow Microphone Permissions (First-Time Setup)
Before you can start recording, you must manually allow microphone access for the Kickscale Chrome Extension:
Click the three-dot menu in Chrome (top-right corner).
Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings.
Scroll down and click Microphone.
Find Kickscale Chrome Extension in the list and set it to "Allow".
Reload the page after changing the permission.
2. Start Recording
Once microphone permissions are set:
Open the Kickscale Chrome Extension.
Open the tab with the website you want to record.
Click "Start Recording" or alternatively press Ctrl+Shift+K (Command+Shift+K).
Stopping and Uploading a Recording
When you stop the recording, you will be automatically redirected to the Kickscale platform.
The Meeting Upload Dialog will open, where you can enter details and confirm the upload.
Accessing Past Recordings
If you close the Kickscale platform before uploading, your recording is not lost. You can find it later in the Kickscale Chrome Extension side panel:
Open the Kickscale Chrome Extension.
Go to the "Your Recordings" section at the top.
From here, you can:
Upload a past recording manually.
Delete recordings you no longer need.
Tips & Best Practices
✅ Always allow microphone permissions before starting a recording.
✅ Reload the page after enabling microphone access.
