Say goodbye to manually entering one goal at a time — Kit makes it easy to import all your students’ goals and objectives at once using a CSV file. In just a few clicks, you can have your entire caseload’s goals ready to go! 🎯
📥 How to Import Goals
Go to the Goals page
Head over to the Caseload section in Kit and select Goals.
Click the Import Icon
In the upper-right corner of the Goals page, click the import icon to get started.
Upload Your File
Select your CSV file that includes your students’ names and goals (as well as objectives, if you have them).
Check Your Column Headers
Double-check that the column headers in your file match the ones shown in Kit.
Click Import Data
Once everything looks good, click Import Data — and you’re done!
Your students’ goals and objectives will appear in their profiles as well as on the Goals page. 🎉
🧠 Important Things to Know
Before importing, make sure each student is already in Kit and has an active IEP. For more info on how to add students and their IEPs in Kit, click here.
Each row in your file can include one goal and up to ten related objectives.
Your file should include the student’s name and their goal(s). You can also include your students objectives if you have them!
📂 Don’t have a spreadsheet yet?
No problem! You can download an example CSV file right from the import screen to help you get started.
➕ Adding New or Additional Goals Later On
Need to add more goals down the road? No problem! You can import new or additional goals for your students at any time — just click the import icon again to bulk upload them.
If you only need to add a single goal, click Add Goal and enter it manually. Either way, your updates will appear right away in your students’ profiles and on the main Goals page.
And you’re all set! Once your goals are imported, you can easily track progress and keep everything organized — all from one place in Kit. 🌟
