How to Take Attendance

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Kit is here to assist you in effortlessly managing attendance, offering an efficient solution for precise attendance tracking while ensuring compliance.

Taking Attendance

To record attendance for your students, simply click the 'Start Instruction' button while in the plan preview of an event. The session length will then be recorded for your records.

Record Absences

All of your students will be marked as present by default after you start instruction. You can mark an individual student or all students in a group as absent by clicking the box next to a student's name. If you click the box again, it will change the student's status back to present.

Use the dropdown to select a reason for absence, such as: Student absent, Provider absent, Field trip, School closure, School activity, Testing, Early release, Delayed opening, Snow day/inclement weather, Provider meeting, Provider professional development. You can also type in a custom reason.

Then click 'Record Attendance' to begin instruction for your students.
