How to Take Data
Updated over a week ago

You can accurately track data on your students' goals by using Kit's data tracker during instruction.

To take data and notes during instruction, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Instruction page and plan your session following these steps.

  2. Once you're done planning, tap 'Start Instruction' to begin the session.

  3. During instruction, click on a student's goal and use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons in the top right corner to track correct and incorrect responses, respectively, as well as when a Support works (thumbs up) or does not work for your student (thumbs down). Add notes for the student under the data calculator.

  4. Add additional notes & comments that are not part of your formal lesson plan using the 'Type a note' field in the bottom right hand corner. Here you can track informal notes, comments and reminders in real time. Reference specific students by using the '@' symbol or specific goals by using the ‘#’ symbol. This allows you to directly link any observations, notes, or feedback to a particular student or goal during both planning and instruction. If you ever need to modify a comment or note, just click on the pencil icon to the right.
