How to Simplify Medicaid Billing

Are you tired of spending countless hours on administrative tasks? Let Kit lighten your load by streamlining your Medicaid billing!

Once you've collected data for a student, navigate to the Instruction page to access the Medicaid Billing report. From there, you can transfer student data to your billing software by copying and pasting with a click of a button, or download all compiled student data into a convenient .csv file.

The Medicaid Billing report contains a variety of essential fields to ensure accurate billing.

  1. Actions: Allows you to copy student data to your device's clipboard.

  2. Status: Lets you know when a student's data is 'Ready' to be copied for billing as well as when copying or exporting data has already been 'Done'.

  3. The date of the session

  4. Duration: The total length of time of the session

  5. Session Start and End times

  6. Service Type: A dropdown with specified service codes.

    92606 — Therapeutic services for non-speech device
    92508 - Treatment of speech, language, voice, communication, and/or auditory processing disorder; group, two or more individuals
    92507 — Treatment of speech, language, voice, communication, and/or auditory processing disorder; individual
    92521 — Evaluation of speech fluency (e.g., stuttering, cluttering)
    92522 - Evaluation of speech sound production (eg, articulation, phonological process, apraxia, dysarthria)
    92523 - Evaluation of speech (eg, articulation, phonological process, apraxia, dysarthria); and language (eg, receptive and expressive language)
    92524 — Behavioral analysis of voice
    92526 — Treatment of swallowing dysfunction
    92605 — Evaluation for non-speech device
    92609 — Therapeutic services for speech device

  7. Group Size: Number of students in the session.

  8. Notes: Comments where students are mentioned and subjective goal tracking notes.

  9. Provider's Name

  10. Student Name, Student ID, Date of Birth

  11. Goals/objectives targeted in the session.

  12. Progress: Quantitative data collected from the data calculators

  13. Place of Service: A dropdown with location options (School, Telehealth, or Home)

  14. Observation: A dropdown with behavior observations (cooperative, uncooperative, disruptive, responsive, unresponsive)

  15. Time Stamp: The date/time when the report was downloaded or copied.

  16. Signature: Provider's name as a signature.

  17. Employee ID: Provider’s employee number, if available.

You can filter or search for specific sessions within the Medicaid Billing report to tailor it to your needs. Some of the filtering options include:

  • Using the search bar to locate a session by keyword (e.g. a student's name, provider, place of service, etc.)

  • Selecting a Start and End date to filter by a specific timeframe.

  • Clicking on a header name to sort information by column (e.g. clicking 'Status' to sort sessions that have not been billed yet).

  • Using the 'Filters' icon to type in a keyword contained in a column.

To download the Medicaid Billing report, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the checkbox next to the student(s) whose data you would like to export.

  2. Select the Export button at the top.

  3. A .csv file spreadsheet will automatically download to your device.

Note: If your .csv file contains hashtags (###) within a column, simply drag the column width out and your data will appear.

You can manually copy/paste data into your billing software by following these steps:

  1. Under the 'Actions' column, click on the 'Copy' button for an event.

  2. Navigate to your billing software.

  3. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V (or command + v on a Mac) to paste the copied

    information into your billing system.
