Using the Content Upload Feature

Combine your own teaching materials with Kognity to create a personalized learning experience.

Written by Miguel González Padilla

You've built worksheets, case studies, and articles worth sharing. Now you can upload them directly into Kognity, placing your custom resources right beside the topics your students are studying.

Why use the Content Upload Feature?

  • Personalise the learning experience: Tailor your lessons to your specific classroom.

  • Share up-to-date, locally relevant content: Easily supplement core topics with real-world, current examples.

  • Reduce platform fatigue: Keep your students focused by minimizing the need to switch between different tools and platforms.

  • Create a unified hub: Seamlessly combine Kognity's rigorous content with your own trusted teaching materials.

Where to find it

You can access this tool directly from your subject's overview page. Simply open the Table of contents and select a unit. The location of the upload section depends slightly on your curriculum:

  • IBDP and IGCSE: The "Topic Resources" section is located right at the top of the selected unit page.

  4. Click Save to finalize your resource — it will be immediately available to students in the same location.

Supported File Formats & Limits

  • Image Uploads: For direct file uploads, only .jpg and .png files are supported, with a maximum file size of 10 MB.

  • PDFs and Documents: You cannot directly upload .pdf, .doc, or .docx files. However, you can easily share these resources by uploading them to a cloud service (like Google Drive) and pasting the shareable link directly into the Link box. Just ensure your link permissions are set so your students can view the file!
