What are they?

As your nanny's employer, you need to pay National Insurance (NI) contributions. These are separate from the National Insurance deductions made to your nanny's salary.

Employer National Insurance is a legal requirement for all employers in the UK, including families who employ nannies.

How much will I pay?

The amount paid each month will vary depending on your nanny's earnings. You can find the current guidance around deductions here.

National Insurance is calculated based on all earnings including overtime and bonuses.

When do I pay them?

We'll collect these contributions monthly as part of your monthly invoice. The cost of your National Insurance contributions is included in the hourly rate that you pay for your nanny - these are not additional charges.

Any National Insurance contributions you pay will be itemised on your invoice.

Koru Kids will then manage the payment of your National Insurance to HMRC.

Need More Information?

More information on what the hourly rate includes can be found here.
