What if I've already had a DBS/PVG check?
If you already have an enhanced DBS or PVG certificate dated within 12 months of your start date, or a DBS on the update service, you most likely won't need to complete another check.
We'll need to double-check your certificate though, so please upload a clear photo of it by clicking the button below.
If we can't accept your existing certificate, we'll order a new check for you, but don’t worry - we’ll cover that cost!
What do I do if I've lost my Verifile login details?
Your Verifile login information will be sent to the email you signed up to Koru Kids with, and will be from hello@verifile.co.uk. Please check your junk and spam as well.
If you've definitely lost the email, or don't think you ever received it, please get in touch, and the team will be able to help you with next steps.
What if none of the video call times work for me?
We offer video call times throughout the week, within normal business hours. However, we're happy to accommodate calls outside of these hours if needed - just reach out to the team, and they'll be happy to arrange a time that suits you.
Do I have to pay for my DBS check?
No, we will cover the cost of your check for you.
Will families know I don't have a DBS yet?
We highlight your DBS status on your nanny profile for families to see clearly whether you already have a check, or will have one carried out when you accept the role.
If families ask you about our DBS process, feel free to explain this, or to direct them back to us for further support.
How long will the check take?
The DBS check usually takes around 10 working days to process, although it can take longer. We'll keep you and the family who employ you up to date throughout the process with weekly status reports via email.
How can I speed up my DBS check?
The best way to get your DBS/PVG check done as quickly as possible is to complete the two steps required of you as soon as possible - your Verifile form, and video call. Once these steps are completed, the check is sent to the DBS/PVG for processing - there's nothing we can do to speed things up.
If the check takes longer than expected, we'll reach out to both you and the family that employ you to offer guidance and advice.
What is Verifile?
Verifile is the company that we use to process our background checks.
