Let's Do This allows you to create events that occur multiple times, such as weekly running clubs or annual marathons, and manage them together. You’re able to have multiple dates throughout the year, available for sale at the same time. For example, if you’re hosting a yearly marathon, you can prepare the next year’s event ahead of time and open sales on race day or even earlier.
Benefits
Manage and publish multiple dates and times (”instances”) of an event at the same time.
Reduce admin and save time by copying event settings and content automatically
Track performance across all repeating event dates/times (”instances”) with a unified event dashboard and data
Show all dates grouped together on the Marketplace for easier participant discovery
Customize individual instances as needed
Repeating vs. Renewing
Repeating Events replaces our older Renew feature.
Historically on Let’s Do This, you could only have one instance of an event live on the Marketplace at a time, and 'Renew' the event once it had passed in order to set up a new one.
Now, you can set up one or more repeating dates/times and have them live on the marketplace simultaneously.
Create a Repeating Event
To begin, we recommend fully completing and testing the first instance of your event. This will ensure that when you create the repeating dates/times, all key details are copied over, reducing repetitive edits later on. Learn more about setting up your first event.
From the event menu on the Organizer Dashboard, select 'Repeat Event':
Or, use "+ Add repeats dates/times" underneath the event Start Date in Manage Event):
Select future dates and times (up to 26) and click 'Confirm' to create instances (they'll be Unlisted initially).
What gets repeated automatically
Content Marketplace content, URL, reviews, booking forms
Event Setup Races, tickets, add-ons, charity options, integrations, transactional emails
✨We’ll automatically update your race and ticket dates to follow a similar timeline as your original event. For example, if your Standard ticket was available from 100 days before your event start date, we’ll use the same calculation when setting up your new date and time.
Marketing Discount codes, credits
⚠️ Only those that have been applied to ‘All events’ will be copied over. Event-specific discount codes and credits must be manually updated for new instances under Marketing settings.
Settings to customize manually
Event capacity limits (under Manage Event)
Participant settings including booking edits and transfers (under Participant Settings)
Edit a Repeating Event
To edit a specific instance, select it from the date/time dropdown in the Event Dashboard:
Each instance can have unique customizations, including title, location, pricing, and event page content.
Currently, edits only apply to the individual event instance. We’re working on ways to easily make bulk changes across all your event instances.
