To get started with the advanced email builder, create a new blank email and head to the build stage of the process. Here you will be able to select the advanced builder option.
Once you’ve selected the advanced builder, click Create to build a new email. It will open a default template that you are free to edit.
Note: Email templates are not yet supported with the advanced email builder - if you want to re-use a design, please duplicate the campaign.
You are free to switch back to the basic email builder at any point and your advanced email build design will be saved.
Building content
The advanced email builder is designed to facilitate the creation of responsive emails.
Upon launching the builder, you'll encounter two main sections:
Stage: Located on the left, this area is where you place and arrange content blocks and rows.
Sidebar: Situated on the right, it offers customization options for various design elements.
Please be sure to save any designs that you make before closing the advanced email builder pop-up.
Settings Tab
The Settings tab lets you define default parameters for your entire design. These settings are inherited by rows and content blocks unless individually adjusted.
Options include:
Content area width and alignment
Background and content area background colours
Default font selection
Link colour
Rows
Rows serve as the foundational structure in builder designs, acting as containers for content blocks. They can be customized to include multiple columns, enabling side-by-side content placement. Row-specific customization options in the sidebar encompass:
Row and content area background colours
Rounded corners for the content area
Borders
Options to prevent stacking or reverse stack order on mobile devices
Background images or videos (the latter for Pages only)
Visibility settings
Within the Customize columns section, you can adjust the column layout by adding new columns or modifying existing ones. Each column offers settings for background color, padding, and borders.
Content Blocks
The builder provides a variety of content blocks, each with its own customization settings accessible via the Sidebar.

Storing and Editing Imagery
In the advanced email builder, we have now introduced both image storage and image editing.
Storing Imagery
You can now store for later usage as well as create folders and organise these images. These folders and images are available to people across your team.
Editing Imagery
You can now edit and re-design images on the fly using the advanced email builder image editing tooling. To do this, just click “apply effects” and it will open the image editing tooling.
Mobile Design Mode
By default, the builder simulates a desktop view of your design. Switching to mobile design mode allows you to preview and edit how your content will appear on mobile devices. While most edits in this mode affect both desktop and mobile views, certain settings marked with a mobile icon apply exclusively to the mobile version.
Test Sends and Previews
To preview and send tests, please save your design and then close the Advanced Email Builder Window. You will then on the right-hand side see options to preview and send tests of your email.
