Cases Summary v1.00 release notes

Written by Denisa Arjoca

Executive Summary

The Case Summary Screen is the central landing page for an individual case within Case Matters. When a user opens a case from the Cases Overview Screen, they are taken directly to the Case Summary Screen, where all the key information related to that case is laid out across a series of panels. The screen is designed to give fee earners an immediate, at-a-glance understanding of the state of the case and a fast route into the actions, communications, and information they are most likely to need.

The screen surfaces the most urgent tasks for the case alongside collaborative case notes, key case attributes, financial information, recent activity from the case timeline, and – for relevant case types – a National Case Law Archive widget that surfaces similar cases. Tasks can be actioned directly via context-sensitive Quick Action buttons, notes can be added and managed inline, and recent activity items can be opened or actioned from the panel without leaving the page. Each panel is self-contained, allowing fee earners to focus on the area of the case that is most relevant at any given moment.

The layout of the Case Summary Screen is fully customisable. Through the layout settings, users can toggle individual panels on or off so that the screen displays only the information that matters most to them, ensuring the page is tailored to each fee earner’s working preferences and the requirements of the case type they are handling.
