1. What is the Preview page for?
The Preview page is the starting point of your document Review journey with LegalOn.
The Preview page provides a preview of your uploaded document. It also allows you to view contract information, edit metadata about your contract (e.g., contract title, party names), collaborate with colleagues, and more.
2. How can I get to the Preview page?
There are two ways to locate the Preview page:
Option 1
Click on "Review" under the navigation bar and upload a contract.
Option 2
Upload a document from the Dashboard, or click on an existing document in your workspace.
3. What are the key features of the Preview page?
a. Show original vs. Show as text
The Preview page allows you to preview an uploaded document either as originally formatted or as text. You may toggle between the two views from the upper left corner of the Preview page.
b. Edit contract status
You can easily update the status of your contract next to the "Status" dropdown. These statuses help to track versions and allow you to filter and search for documents in your Dashboard and clauses in "Search for clauses."
You may select from the following list of statuses:
Own draft
Counterparty draft
Reviewed
Counterparty redline
Final version
Signed version
c. Edit contract title and party name
If you hover over to the right-hand side of the Preview page, you can edit contract title and party name of a document. Updated information will automatically reflect on your Dashboard, enabling you to filter by contract party and party name, search for documents in your Dashboard and clauses in "Search for clauses."

d. Collaborate with colleagues
You may also tag a colleague and add a comment to collaborate in LegalOn, as long as your colleague has an active account with LegalOn.
Tagging another user and submitting the comment will trigger an email being sent to the recipient. Note that you may only tag users who are in the same organization.

e. Manage contract versions
At every stage of your contract negotiation, LegalOn can help you keep track of and manage different contract versions conveniently.
Let's walk through this with an example.
Suppose you've reached agreement with a counterparty and are ready to upload the final version to LegalOn. You open up the Preview page of the reviewed version. Next, you hover over to the left-hand side of the Preview page and click on the Upload button (i.e., the PLUS sign). You then upload the contract, update status to "Final version," and click "Upload."
Now hover again to the left-hand side of the Preview page, you'll see the latest version of your contract, tagged by the selected status.
Clicking "..." next to each contract version gives you the ability to edit status, edit file name, remove a contract version from the list, or delete a version.

f. Compare with previous versions
Once you have different versions of the same contract in your workspace (read more in e. Manage contract versions), you can then compare changes made between versions by using "compare with previous version."

g. Download document
Simply hover over to the upper right corner of the Preview page and click the "download" button.

h. Delete versions
Clicking "..." next to the "download" button on the Preview page allows you to delete version(s) of the document.
Note that there are two options:
Delete this version (choosing this option will redirect you to the latest version of the document)
Delete all versions (choosing this option will redirect you to the Dashboard)
