This guide provides an overview of the third section of this menu and how it differs by role. For details about each menu selection, please see the in-depth guides linked throughout this document.
Locating the Side Menu
The example below is the home page for a teacher account.
Section 3: The Student Actions Section
The third section of the side menu includes access to Student Actions. In District and School Connect, an Action can be thought of as an Item. The term Action is intended to capture both traditional assessment items and other types of student interactions within the platform. Access to types of actions varies by role.
In the Teacher role:
1. Click on My Student Actions to create, view and edit student actions for your classroom. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in building student actions (items).
2. Click on Shared Student Actions to view student actions that were created by your colleagues and shared with you for use in your classroom or collaboration.
3. Click on My Action Banks to create action banks or view actions that you and your colleagues have created and organized into specific action (item) banks. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in building action banks.
In the School Admin role:
1. Click on My Student Actions to view and edit student actions you have created for your school. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in building student actions (items).
2. Click on Shared Student Actions to view student actions that were created by your colleagues and shared with you for use in your school.
3. Click on My Action Banks to view actions that you and your colleagues have created and organized into specific action (item) banks. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in creating action banks.
4. Click on District Action Banks to view actions that your district administrator has created and organized into specific action (item) banks, and shared with you for use in your school.
In the District Admin role:
1. Click on District Student Actions to view and edit student actions you have created for your district. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in building student actions (items).
2. Click on Shared Student Actions to view student actions that were created by your colleagues and shared with you for use in your district.
3. Click on My Action Banks to view actions that you and your colleagues have created and organized into specific action (item) banks. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in creating action (item) banks.
