Navigating the Side Menu: Section 1 - The District

Learn your way around the menu on the left side of the screen. This guide addresses the first section focusing on District Administrators.

Now that you have reviewed the home page, let's look at the vertical menu along the left side of the window.

This guide provides an overview of the first section of this menu and how it differs by role. For details about each menu selection, please see the in-depth guides linked throughout this document.

Locating the Side Menu:

The example shown is the home page for a teacher account.

The Classroom, School, and District Menu Blocks:

The first section of the side menu includes information about the district, schools, classes, students, results and reports. This information varies depending on the role.

District Menu for District Administrators

District Menu Option

1. Click on District in the left side menu to open the District Details panel, including tiles with district profile information, a list of district administrators, and a list of school administrators.

2. Click on a District or School Administrator name to open the Administrator Details panel and view the administrator profile.

3. Click on a School name to open the School Details panel and view school administrators and teachers.

4. From here, click on a teachers name to open the Teacher Details panel. Scroll down to view the teachers classes and student tiles.

Remember that anywhere you see an underlined link, you can click to view more information in a panel to the right, whether it's a name, a class, a student activity, or any other linked text.

NOTE: You can add district or school administrators if needed. See the Guide "Adding District Administrators" or "Adding School Administrators" for more information.

Please check with your SIS manager or primary platform contact before adding administrators if your school or district participates in automated roster updates.

Schools Menu Option

5. Click on Schools in the left side menu to open a list of School names.

6. Click on a Schools name to open the details panel to the right, to view the schools profile including school administrators and teachers.

7. Click on a Teachers name to open the Teacher Details panel and view the teacher profile. Scroll down to view the teachers classes and student tiles.

Again, remember that anywhere you see an underlined link, you can click to view more information in a panel to the right.

Please check with your SIS manager or primary platform contact before adding teachers if your school or district participates in automated roster updates.

8. Click on Teachers in the left side menu to open the list of Teachers.

9. Click on a Teacher name to open the Teacher Details panel and view the teachers profile. Scroll down to view the teachers classes and student tiles.

Students Menu Option

10. Click on Students in the left side menu to see a list of all students in the district.

11. At the top you can Search by last name or click the blue Filters button to apply a filter.

12. Click on any student name to open the Student Details, with more student information shown in the top section, including a list of Current Teachers.

13. Click on a teachers name to open that teachers profile in a panel to the right.

Reports Menu Option

14. Click on Reports in the left side menu to open the Reports dashboard.

15. Click on the Activity Type button at the top of the Reports dashboard to select the type of activity to view.

16. Select a Filter if needed (optional).

17. Locate the column containing the activity for which you will view a report.

18. Click on the Reports icon in the top right corner of a box for the group of students for which you will view a report. In the example provided, the district administrator can run reports at the district level (for all schools) or for a specific school.

19. Select a report to view from one of the menu options that appears.

Assesslet Results Menu Option

20. Assesslets are formative assessments built by the UGA College of Education and scored by Lennections, that are available to districts and schools at an additional cost. Click on Assesslet Results in the left side menu to access any Assesslets your district may have administered.

21. Here you can download results, preview the activity, and view associated documents for each Assesslet.
