This guide provides an overview of the second section of this menu and how it differs by role. For details about each menu selection, please see the in-depth guides linked at the end of this document.
Locating the Side Menu:
The example shown is the home page for a teacher account.
Section 2: Learning Activities
The second section of the side menu includes access to different types of activities available to the different platform roles.
My Activities - Teacher Role Only - Activities created by the teacher for classroom use.
Shared Activities - All Roles - Activities that have been shared with you by another District and School Connect user for collaboration or personal use.
Public Activities - All Roles - Activities that have been created and shared by District and School Connect users to any other District and School Connect user.
District Activities - All Roles - Activities that have been created at the district level and assigned to schools and teachers (i.e. a District benchmark).
School Activities - All Roles - Activities that have been created at the school level and assigned to teachers (i.e. a common assessment).
In the Teacher role:
1. Click on My Activities to create, view and assign student activities for your classroom. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in building student activities.
2. Click on Shared Activities to view and assign student activities that were created by your colleagues and shared with you for use in your classroom or for collaboration.
3. Click on Public Activities to view a list of activities that have been shared with the public activity bank by platform users from across the District and School Connect user base. Note that these activities are not vetted by Lennections; please take the time to fully review any public activity prior to use in the classroom.
4. Click on District Activities to view a list of activities that have been built by your district and assigned for use in your classroom.
5. Click on School Activities to view a list of activities that have been built by your school and assigned for use in your classroom.
6. Click on Performance Levels to view the existing performance levels for activities, and to create custom performance levels. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in creating performance levels.
Note: Co-Teacher and Support Teacher menu options will appear for teachers who serve in either of these roles for classes or students. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in using the co-teacher and support teacher features.
In the School Admin role:
1. Click on My School Activities to create, view and assign student activities for your school. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in building student activities.
2. Click on Shared Activities to view student activities that were created by your colleagues and shared with you, and to assign them to teachers.
3. Click on Public Activities to view a list of activities that have been shared with the public activity bank by platform users from across the District and School Connect user base. Note that these activities are not vetted by Lennections; please take the time to fully review any public activity prior to use in the classroom.
4. Click on District Activities to view a list of activities that have been built by your district and assigned for use in your school, and to assign them to teachers.
5. Click on Premium Action Banks to view action (item) banks available to you as a school administrator.
6. Click on Performance Levels to view the existing performance levels for activities, and to create custom performance levels. See the Resource section at the end of this guide for information and links to assist you in creating performance levels.
In the District Admin role:
1. Click on District Activities to create, view and assign student activities for your schools.
2. Click on Shared Activities to view student activities that were created by your colleagues and shared with you, and to assign them to schools.
3. Click on Public Activities to view a list of activities that have been shared with the public activity bank by platform users from across the District and School Connect user base. Note that these activities are not vetted by Lennections; please take the time to fully review any public activity prior to use in the classroom.

Example view of Learning Activities:
In this example, a Teacher is viewing School Activities assigned to them for use in their classrooms.
1. After clicking on School Activities, the teacher sees a list of learning activities assigned to them by a school administrator in the left panel of the main window.
2. The selected Learning Activity details tile opens in the right panel of the main window. This includes information about the grade, subject, activity type, and other information about the activity. Scheduling and assignment of accommodations is also accessible in this tile.
3. Scroll down in the right pane to view content of the learning activity, including detailed information for each student action (item) included on the form and classroom and individual student assignments for the learning activity.
