Submitting Your Manuscript into The Libraro Prize 2026 Competition

Entering The Libraro Prize 2026 begins with uploading your manuscript. To make sure your submission is accepted, please follow the step by step process below.

Please Note: YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT YOUR WORK ONCE into The Libraro Prize 2026 competition, this is stated in our terms conditions "3.3. Only one Submission per author is permitted." be wary of this fact when uploading your work in order to make sure it is the best possible quality that you can upload in order to avoid any potential mistakes or accidents.


The Libraro Prize upload process:

Step 1: Open up the Libraro home page and click on "submit your manuscript".


Step 2: Read through the key information about The Libraro Prize, read and accept the terms and conditions and declare that you own the rights to the submitted manuscript and that you have all necessary permissions.


Step 3: Enter your title into the text box and click the "Next" button.

Please note: The character limit for the title is up to 100 characters


Step 4: Enter your Blurb into the text box and click the "Next" button.

Please note: The character limit for the Blurb is upto 500 Characters


Step 5: Select the file for the image that you would like to use a cover image.

Please note: Your Cover Image should be in the format of a .jpg or .png at a max file size of upto 5 MB, uploaded as 1 file, with an image size of 360px by 480px at a ratio 3:4. You MUST also own the rights to the image that you are using as your book cover.


Step 6: Select the currrent publication stataus of the work that you are uploading.

Please note: You can choose whether you want users to register ‘Early Access’ and be informed when your manuscript becomes available for purchase if you choose any of these status options:

  • Not published (neither self-published nor traditionally published)

  • In progress

  • Other

However if your work is already published you have the ability to add a link to where your work can be found, this option is available if you select the status options:

  • Self-published

  • Traditionally published


Step 7: Select and upload the file for the Story About Your Story.

Please note: The file for the Story about your Story needs to be in a .pdf file format at a max file size of 5 MB, uploaded as 1 file, and no longer than 2 pages / 1000 words)

IMPORTANT:
In order to avoid formatting challenges, submit a plain, text-only PDF first. Do not submit a PDF that you have previously formatted with custom styles, bold text, chapter divisions, page numbers, headers, footers, annotations, images, or tables.


Step 8: Select and upload the file for the Sample Chapters and read the terms and conditions and click the "Accept" buttons.

Please note: Your Sample Chapters need to be in a .pdf file format at a max file size of 30 MB, uploaded as 1 file. In order to proceed further with the upload process you will need to accept our Terms & Conditions.

IMPORTANT:
Submit a plain, text-only PDF first. Do not submit a PDF that you have previously formatted with custom styles, bold text, chapter divisions, page numbers, headers, footers, annotations, images, or tables.

After uploading, use the editor on the right to adjust formatting. For example, click the +button and select “Heading” to mark the start of a new chapter.


Step 9: Select and upload the file for the Full Manuscript.

Please note: Your Sample Chapters need to be in a .pdf file format at a max file size of 30 MB, uploaded as 1 file.

IMPORTANT:

Please upload your manuscript as a text-only PDF. Content such as images, tables, pagination, annotations, or special objects (e.g., SVGs) will not be converted from PDF and may affect how your manuscript is displayed.


Step 10: Choose from one category, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Children and then choose four genres within this category.

Please note: The genres presented to you are Category specific and as such will change depending on which category you choose.

For example, you cant select "Non-Fiction" as a category and be able to choose "Literary Fiction" as a genre.


Step 11: The final step lets you review everything you’ve entered and uploaded during the submission process. Take a moment to check your files and details before finishing. When you’re ready, click “Publish” to complete your submission.

If you’re not quite ready yet, you can choose “Save in Drafts.” If you spot any mistakes or want to make changes, click “Edit” to update your information before publishing.

Please note: ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE FINAL, once you have confirmed all details look as they should and you have thoroughly reviewed your submission, click the "publish" button.
