This guide explains how to prepare and format your manuscript before uploading it to Libraro, and how to make edits using the built-in editor.

Before You Upload

For the best reading experience on Libraro, please upload your manuscript as a text-only PDF.

Content such as images, tables, pagination, annotations, or special objects (for example, SVGs) will not be converted from the PDF and may affect how your manuscript appears once uploaded

Please Note: Do not upload images that contain inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content. Any images that break our guidelines will be rejected during moderation.

Best File Format

When preparing your manuscript:

  • Save your work as a PDF file (maximum 30 MB).

  • To ensure your text is clearly formatted, make sure chapters are clearly seperated.

  • Avoid complex layouts or embedded objects.

  • Keep your file text-based rather than image-based, as image text cannot be converted.

Editing Your Manuscript in the Editor

Once your manuscript is uploaded, you’ll be able to review and edit it directly within the account dashboard "published" tab.

To check your formatting:

  1. Review the converted text to make sure chapters are clearly separated and any images display correctly.

  2. Use the “+” button to make edits where needed.

  3. To mark the start of a new chapter, select “Heading” from the “+” menu

Please Note: If you notice anything that does not look right, such as missing sections or formatting errors, please take a screenshot of the page and include a brief description of the issue when contacting Support.

If Your Manuscript Is Not Displaying Correctly

If parts of your manuscript do not appear correctly after upload:

  • Confirm your file is text-based and saved as a standard PDF.

  • Avoid uploading PDFs that contain scanned pages or image-based text.

  • Contact our Support Team and share:

    • A screenshot of the affected page in the editor.

    • A short note explaining what did not convert properly.

    • Your Libraro Username

    • The email you used to sign up and login to Libraro

Our team will review your file and help you identify the cause of the issue.
