PIN numbers play a role in establishing and/or setting up a new account via customer service.
If you set up your account online or someone is already an administrator, a PIN is NOT required for your organization. If there is no admin on the account, you can link by account number and PIN to claim admin. An admin can add people without sharing a PIN. If you need to link to the organization you must have the account and pin number.
