If you want a full detailed walkthrough of all features of LiGo in video format, please feel free to watch the video below.
Do note however that we push out UI/UX and feature enhancements, so some parts of the product might "look" different and have more options now than they did at the time of creation of the video.
That said, lets dive in for those who prefer the text version:
What You'll Learn
How to give LiGo your background info for authentic content generation
Setting up your first content theme
Selecting example posts to define your style
Generating your first content ideas and posts
Note: This article isn't as detailed as the video shared above, and doesn't cover all features.
Step 1: Tell us about yourself
Choose the language you want to create the LinkedIn posts, comments, strategy, and LinkedIn content ideas in.
Will you be using LiGo for a personal account or company page?
How did you hear about LiGo?
Step 2: Manual vs Automated Onboarding
LiGo offers two onboarding paths. Without us knowing you, and your background - we can't really create LinkedIn content for you. So, this part is to give our AI context about it, so the LinkedIn strategy, LinkedIn posts and LinkedIn comments LiGo generates for you are unique to your background, expertise and goals.
Here's the two options:
Automatic/Profile-based Onboarding: The quickest way to get started by letting LiGo analyze your LinkedIn profile.
Who should choose this: If you are already posting for a while now on LinkedIn and your profile is optimized, go with this option. Because the context + your writing style would be easy to pick for LiGo.
Manual/Questions-based Onboarding: Full control over your LinkedIn content strategy.
Who should choose this: If you are not active on LinkedIn, haven't added all your info to your LinkedIn profile and haven't posted much, go with this option..
If you choose automated onboarding, you will be asked to provide your LinkedIn username. This doesn't "connect" your LinkedIn profile to LiGo. It simply allows us to run a detailed search on you to get publicly available LinkedIn data like your bio, past experiences, linkedin posts, etc.
Step 3: Enter Your LinkedIn Username
A lot of users fail to find their LinkedIn username! Please use this article to find your username: Here's how you can find your LinkedIn username.
After this, LiGo analyzes the available information and then proposes 3 LinkedIn Content Strategies that are customized to your background, writing style, target audience and goals.
Step 4: Pick one LinkedIn Strategy
You would be shown three content strategy options. Review them all, and pick one for now to Generate 2 Posts so you can decide if it's a good fit for you.
Final Thoughts
That's much pretty much it for onboarding. You will get 2 posts based on that content strategy with each post having 4 different variants, so you can pick the one that you like best.
We won't be covering the Publish Post feature in this article. We have a much more detailed article on it here.
We also have a complete guide on how to design a content theme & also how to create your own custom content theme
Common Questions
Q: What information does LiGo need from me during onboarding?
LiGo asks for basic background information such as the language your post in, whether you’re creating content for a personal or company account, and how you heard about the product. This info helps LiGo generate more authentic and relevant LinkedIn content for you.
Q: Does providing my LinkedIn username connect my account to LiGo?
No. Sharing your username alone does not connect your LinkedIn account. It simply allows LiGo to gather publicly available information like your bio, experience, posts, etc so it can generate more personalized content. Click here to connect your LinkedIn account.
Q: Why can’t I pick more than one content theme during onboarding?
You only need to select one theme to complete onboarding. Your remaining content themes are saved to your draft themes and you can activate them anytime you want after onboarding.
Q: What if I want to create multiple themes?
After completing onboarding, you can create additional themes from the Themes Library section. Free trial users can create up to 2 themes, Standard plan users 5 themes & Pro plan users upto 10 themes.
Q: Can I edit my theme later?
Yes! You can edit your themes anytime from the Themes Library section. Look for the edit icon next to any theme to make your changes.
