Before installing LiGo's Chrome extension, make sure your setup is compatible.
What Works
Browsers That Work
Google Chrome (recommended)
Microsoft Edge
Devices That Work
Desktop computers/Laptops (Windows, Mac, Linux)
That's it. Only desktop computers/laptops are supported.
What Doesn't Work
Browsers That DON'T Work
Firefox
Safari
Opera
Brave
Any mobile browser
Any tablet browser
Why? LiGo uses Chrome-specific extension technology that doesn't exist in other browsers. Supporting other browsers would require rebuilding the entire extension from scratch.
Devices That DON'T Work
Mobile phones - Chrome extensions cannot run on mobile browsers (this is a browser limitation, not a LiGo limitation)
Tablets - Same issue as phones, including iPads
Chromebooks - Might work but we don't officially test or support them
How to Check Your Browser
In Chrome:
Type
chrome://version/in your address barPress Enter to see your Chrome version
Make sure you're running a recent version of Chrome
In Edge:
Type
edge://version/in your address barPress Enter to see your Edge version
Make sure you're running a recent version of Edge
Note: We don't require specific browser versions, but keeping your browser updated is best practice as it ensures the best compatibility and security.
What to Do If You're Using the Wrong Browser
Option 1: Switch Completely
Download Chrome from google.com/chrome
Install it on your computer
Install the LiGo extension in Chrome
Import your bookmarks if needed
Option 2: Use Both Browsers
Keep your current browser for everything else, but use Chrome specifically for LinkedIn and LiGo. This way you don't have to change your entire browsing experience.

Common Questions
Q: Why not support Firefox or Safari?
Different browsers use different extension systems. Supporting Firefox or Safari would mean rebuilding everything from scratch, essentially creating two separate products.
Q: Can I use this on my Tablet/iPad? What about Chromebooks?
No. Chrome extensions don't work on any mobile or tablet device, including iPads, Android tablets, or any other mobile platform.
Chromebooks run Chrome OS and might work, but we don't officially test or support them. If you encounter issues on a Chromebook, we might not be able to provide technical support.
Q: Will you support mobile in the future?
Chrome extensions fundamentally cannot work on mobile devices due to browser architecture limitations. We'd need to build a completely different mobile app, which isn't currently in our roadmap.
Q: I have Chrome but the extension won't install
Make sure you're:
Using Chrome on a desktop computer (not mobile).
Visiting the official Chrome Web Store.
Signed into your Google account.
Not in Incognito mode when installing.
Q: Does LiGo work on company computers?
It should work as long as:
Chrome or Edge is installed and up-to-date.
Your IT department allows Chrome extensions.
You can access LinkedIn and the Chrome Web Store.
Your company firewall doesn't block our servers.
