What’s new in LiGo Extension v2?

Below is a quick overview of the features included in this release. Each section links to a detailed guide with step-by-step instructions and screenshots.

1. Generate Comments

The comment generator you know and love is still here. It creates smart, on-brand comments directly under LinkedIn posts, tailored to your style preferences.

If you want the extension to generate comments in a very specific manner that your comment styles were unable to capture. You can give it custom instructions on how to do so.

If you're new to this. start with the LinkedIn Comments Generator Video Guide.

2. Bulk Comment Replies

Reply to multiple comments on your own LinkedIn posts with just one click. Instead of responding one by one, LiGo generates personalized replies in bulk, saving you time while keeping your tone consistent.

Learn how to use it in the Bulk Comment Replies guide.

3. Repurpose Content

Found a great LinkedIn post, X tweet, Medium article, Reddit thread, or YouTube video?

You know, something that you read or listen and think "Hey, I have the same opinion - just never said it to others in my own voice" - well, now you can!

Now you can instantly gives those to LiGo as the starting point/inspiration, and LiGo will compare that with your own profile information to create three LinkedIn post variations (in your voice, of course) without leaving the page. Repurpose helps you share insights in your own voice, directly from the source.

Read more in the Repurpose Content guide.

4. Inspirations

See a post template you like? Save it as an Inspiration and revisit it later to build your own story around it. This is perfect when you want to remember a format or hook that works well. For detailed edits and more, select the "View All" button on the top right of the screen.

Check the Inspirations guide for more details.

5. Drafts

Your existing drafts from the web app are now accessible directly in the extension.

Scroll through, pick a variant, edit it lightly, then copy and paste it straight into LinkedIn. For deeper edits, you can still open the Publish Post Page in LiGo's Web App.

6. LinkedIn Analytics

No need to switch tabs to check LinkedIn Content performance.

In v2, you can see engagement metrics, top posts, and the best days/times to publish through the extension sidebar itself. You can also exclude outliers like viral posts that may skew your results.

For full analytics, select the "View Full Analytics" button at the bottom of the screen.

More info in the Complete Analytics Guide.

7. Chat With Your LinkedIn Data

Ask questions about your LinkedIn performance directly inside the extension. For example:

  • “When do I usually get the most engagement?”

  • “How can I improve my LinkedIn headline?”

The chat answers instantly, powered by your own LinkedIn data.

8. Prospect (CRM Tool)

Save LinkedIn profiles as prospects while you browse. Add notes, company details, and labels directly in the extension. Later, you can view them in the extension or jump to their LinkedIn profile with one click. There's also a detailed view of your prospects in the web application.

Note: We only save basic info (name, country, profile URL) about the prospect, and will not be any further functionality related to that in the future either, since that would be non-compliant with LinkedIn. You can of course export all prospects and use other tools for that purpose.

More in the Prospect feature guide.

9. Product Updates & Community

Stay up to date with what’s coming next. View upcoming features, submit your own ideas, vote on requests from other users, or report bugs directly in the extension. This helps shape LiGo’s roadmap.

10. Usage Details

Keep track of your usage in real time:

  • Plan and credits remaining

  • Posts and ideas generated

  • Repurposed content count

  • Comment and chat usage

  • Active themes

You’ll also see options to buy credits or manage your subscription right from the extension

Short How-To For First Time Users

  1. Subscribe to the paid plan for the private extension. (You can evaluate our key features in the public version before you make the call).

  2. Install or update the extension in Chrome by following the link provided to you.
(Link is only available upon request - once the extension is no longer in "early access" - the link will be auto-shared via email to all users at the time they acquire a subscription).

  3. Click the LiGo icon from the Chrome Tool/Extension bar. Sign in with your LiGo account. (If the extension asks for permission, accept the ones you need)

  4. Check your plan in the extension header. It should show your paid plan.

  5. Try one small task: generate one comment, or save one inspiration.

Tips To Use The Extension Well

  • Set your style in the web app first. Then the extension will match your voice.

  • Use Bulk replies after a popular post of yours gets a ton of comments. It saves time and ensures that the snowball effect continues for your post.

  • Use Repurpose content when you see a long article or thread. You will get three ready-to-post variants.

  • While scrolling, If you like some content & think it can be turned into a LinkedIn post later, save it to Inspirations

  • View Drafts to have an idea of what posts are still present in your drafts. Finish them later in the web app.

  • Check Usage details before heavy use to avoid running out of credits.

Troubleshooting Quick Fixes

  • Not seeing v2 features? Make sure you are on a paid plan, and have requested access to the private version of the extension. (The public version of the extension does not have the v2 features - you will need to install a separate extension basically).

  • Extension not responding? Close the Extension sidebar, then reopen it. And reload the page you are on. Try now.

  • Comments not generating? Open the sidebar first, then trigger the comment generation. Still no luck? Refresh the page.

If the issue still persists, temporarily just revert to the good old stone age method called: Copy/Paste, i.e. copy the post content and put that in the sidebar manually - and contact support on the side.

You can contact support by clicking on the message icon on the bottom right of your screen.

Known Issues

We’re actively tracking the following issues in this version of the extension. Our team is working on fixes, and we’ll update this list as they’re resolved.

  1. Extension not carrying over to different tabs: The extension may reset or lose context when you switch between multiple LinkedIn tabs.

  2. Line breaks not preserved: When generating comments, line breaks may be removed or compressed into single lines.

  3. Incorrect post picked for comment generation: The extension on very rare occasions may generate comments for a different post than the one selected.

Common Questions

Q: What’s new in the private extension that the public extension does not have?

The private extension adds several features that previously required the LiGo web app. You can now not onlt generate comments, but also reply to multiple comments at once, repurpose content from anywhere on the web, view your drafts, check your LinkedIn analytics, save posts you like to inspirations, chat with your data, manage prospects, and track your usage directly from the extension sidebar.

Q: Is the LiGo extension v2.0 free?

No. Chrome extension v2 is available only to paid users. If you're on a free trial or using the public version, you’ll need to upgrade your plan and request access to the private v2 extension.

Q: Can I save any type of content to Inspirations on any webpage?

No, only the ones that we support. Currently, that list includes Medium, YouTube, Reddit. More are in the queue, and you can always request any custom ones in the extension's community feature requests section. If it gets enough upvotes, we'll prioritize that over the others.

Q: How does the Repurpose feature work?

Repurpose lets you turn any piece of online content such as LinkedIn posts, articles, Reddit threads, YouTube videos, and more into three LinkedIn post variants written in your voice. The extension uses the source material as inspiration and blends it with your profile style & voice to generate ready-to-post LinkedIn content.

Q: Where do I find more detailed information on each of the extension's features?

Each feature above links to a full guide. Check the links for step-by-step instructions and screenshots.

Q: Why can’t I see or use the v2 tools?

This usually means that you haven’t installed the private version of the extension. Make sure that you are on a paid plan and have requested access. If you’ve done both and still don’t see the features, try closing and reopening the sidebar, refreshing the page, or reloading the extension. If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to contact support.
