How to Block Malicious Email Senders in Microsoft 365/Outlook

Blocking unwanted or malicious email senders in Microsoft 365 (Outlook) is an essential step to keep your inbox secure. Follow these simple steps to block a sender:

Step 1: Open Outlook

  1. Log in to your Microsoft 365 account.

  2. Open Outlook by clicking on the Outlook app.

Step 2: Locate the Email

  1. Find an email from the sender you want to block.

  2. Click on the email to open it.

Step 3: Block the Sender

  1. In the email window, click on the "Junk" dropdown menu in the toolbar.

  2. Select "Block" from the options.

Step 4: Confirm Blocking

  1. A prompt may appear asking you to confirm blocking the sender. Click "OK" to confirm.

Step 5: Check Blocked Senders (Optional)

  1. Click on the gear icon (Settings) in the top right corner.

  2. Select "View all Outlook settings."

  3. Go to "Mail" > "Junk email."

Step 6: Report Phishing (Optional)
