What is a Domain Scan?

A domain scan is a security check that analyzes your domain for potential vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and threats. Think of it as a regular health check for your website and online presence. As a Lockwell "Premium" customer you will receive a report of all your scans.

Why Are Domain Scans Important?

  1. Identify Vulnerabilities: A scan helps find weaknesses in your domain that could be exploited by cybercriminals.

  2. Prevent Security Breaches: By identifying potential issues early, you can take action to secure your domain and protect your data.

  3. Maintain Compliance: Regular scans help ensure your domain meets industry security standards and regulations.

What Do We Scan For?

  • Misconfigured Settings: Checks for incorrect configurations that could expose your domain.

  • Malicious Content: Looks for harmful software or code that could harm your users or reputation.

  • DNS Issues: Verifies that your domain name system (DNS) settings are correct and secure.

How Often Do We Perform Domain Scans?

We perform these scans on a monthly basis to keep your domain secure and up to date. You’ll receive a report detailing any issues found and recommendations for improvements.

Where can I find my Domain Scan Report?

Admins will have access to the Domain Scan Report in the Admin Dashboard under Domain Scans.

Please note that while we are able to provide you with a report of any issues, we recommend that you follow up with your DNS Service Provider to assist with remediation.
