A. Image Criteria

We support up to 10MB for all channels, except for the following:

  • Maximum X/Twitter file size: 5 MB for images, 10 MB for GIFs

  • Instagram: up to 8 MB is supported for direct publishing. If it is greater than 8 MB, the post will need to be manually published.

Media requirements

Facebook

Ideal image: 1,200 x 628 pixels

Must be within a 4:5 to 1.91:1 aspect ratio range

Reels must have a 9:16 aspect ratio

Instagram

Maximum file size: 8 MB

Aspect ratio: Must be within a 4:5 to 1.91:1 range

Minimum width: 320 (will be scaled up to the minimum if necessary)

Maximum width: 1440 (will be scaled down to the maximum if necessary)

Height: Varies, depending on width and aspect ratio

Color Space: sRGB. Images using other color spaces will have their color spaces converted to sRGB.

Recommended image dimensions:

  • Square: 1080 x 1080 pixels

  • Portrait: 1080 x 1350 pixels

  • Landscape: 1080 x 566 pixels

X/Twitter

Recommended dimension: 1024 x 512 pixels

Maximum file size: 5 MB for images, 10 MB for GIFs

LinkedIn

Recommended dimension: 1200 x 627 pixel

We recommend uploading photos less than 2048 x 1536 pixels for best quality once published on LinkedIn. Larger files are supported, but will not display in the LinkedIn feed with a higher resolution.

Must be within a 4:5 to 1.91:1 aspect ratio range

Pinterest

Must be within a 2:3 and 1:3.5 aspect ratio range

Minimum width: 600 pixels

Minimum height: 900 pixels

Maximum height: 2100 pixels

Maximum GIF size: 5MB

Google Business Profile

Minimum: 250 x 250 pixels and 10 KB size limit.

Recommended dimension: 720 x 720 pixels and 5MB size limit

Snapchat

Ideal image: 1,080 x 1,920 pixels

Shared media must be 10 MB or smaller

TikTok

Must be within a 1/2.2 to 2.2 aspect ratio range

Multiple images only (up to 12)

📝 Note:

  • You can view the dimension and size of each media you've uploaded in your Library.

  • You are able to make edits to your images and videos with Loomly Studio.

B. Video Criteria

We recommend videos less than 30MB and shorter than 2 minutes for the best performance. Up to 200MB and 5 minutes is supported but may take a while to process, except for the following channels:

  • Snapchat: up to 10 MB is supported and up to 1 minute in length is supported.

  • Instagram videos must be a minimum of 3 seconds for direct publishing. If it is less than 3 seconds, it will need to be manually published.

  • TikTok videos must be 3 seconds minimum and 1GB maximum to be automatically published in single video posts. Otherwise, they will need to be manually published.

  • Pinterest videos must be at least 5 seconds long.

  • Carousels allow you to publish 2-5 images with individual links.

  • Your Instagram Professional account must be connected through a Facebook Business page if you'd like to take advantage of the features offered in their respective columns above.

  • The Grid Preview will not be available for Personal accounts and other accounts connected through the Instagram username.

  • We support carousel posts for Instagram. You can combine up to 10 of different media types:

    • Images

    • Videos

    • GIFs
