Client Handbook: How to Use Loomly?
Updated over a week ago

1. What can a Client do in Loomly?

When you are invited to collaborate in Loomly, you need to create an account. However, you do not need to subscribe and can use Loomly for free, as long as you do not create any calendars of your own.

A Client has limited permissions in terms of content management (view and delete only — no create, no edit) but full permissions in terms of collaboration (assign, update state, schedule, comment). A client has limited user management permissions (invite collaborators and manage her own role).

2. Collaborate seamlessly

Loomly allows your collaborators to create amazing posts, and only submit each of them for approval when they are ready.

You can preview, approve, and edit each piece of content before it gets published.

Alternatively, your collaborators can work in batches and notify you when the content is available for review for a given period of time, for instance, an entire month.

Approve posts easily in a simple and intuitive interface

  • Review and Approve posts;

  • Engage with your collaborators in the comment section, to provide feedback or clarifications on a post or ad;

  • @mention certain collaborators if you want to leave a direct comment for them.

Make sure the right individuals are involved

When you change the status of a post or ad, it will not send your collaborators a notification unless they are assigned to it.

💡 Tips:

  1. If the post is ready to be approved, update the post status to "Approved" or "Scheduled" then assign the respective collaborator.

  2. If you do not approve the post, then update the post status to "Requires Edit" then assign the respective collaborator.

This is why the collaborator who is responsible for the next step will need to be assigned when the status of a post is updated, so they are aware and notified.

💡 Tips:

  1. You can assign collaborators to multiple posts with our bulk actions feature in the List View

  2. Multiple collaborators can be assigned to a post so they can take part in the approval and publishing process

Loomly follows you everywhere

You can customize your notification settings and the frequency of which you receive notifications from Loomly.

You can receive notifications in your email inbox, on your mobile device (via push notifications), and even in your favorite communication tools with Slack & Microsoft teams.

3. Manage all your assets & creatives efficiently

Loomly’s intuitive library lets you store, organize, and use assets.

You can access your Library from both the List View & the Calendar View via the Library icon in your Toolbar.

Inside your Library, you can:

  • Upload photos & videos to use later when creating new posts.

  • Edit new and existing files metadata, for instance, renaming assets per your internal conventions.

  • Create notes and Post Templates

  • Delete assets you no longer need.

  • Apply changes to multiple files with bulk actions.

  • Create videos from images (slideshows)

💡 Tips: We offer a dedicated view for assets within the Library, you'll be able to easily view and edit asset details.
