Penalties and Account Suspension

Updated over 3 months ago

Strict measures have been in effect since April 21, 2025.

These measures include the enforcement of penalties in case of non-compliance with the rules governing use of the service. Penalties may include temporary suspension of access, ranging from 14 days to one month, and can lead to a permanent ban from the service.

One of the key rules concerns proper parking of bikes at stations—an obligation that is currently no longer being followed.

  1. Only the raspberry-colored racks located at operational stations — visible on the station map — are designated for dockless bikes (VLS) and are recognized as valid return points.

  2. A bike is only considered properly returned if it is locked to one of these racks using the built-in lock. This simple action is essential for protecting the equipment from vandalism or destruction.

  3. 🔒 Even during a pause, it is mandatory to lock bikes to a fixed point or street furniture using the cable lock, before closing the handcuff lock, to ensure they are securely fastened.

Sanctioned Violations

  • Bikes left outside of stations – A €15 fee now applies (see Terms of Service)

  • Bikes left with the handcuff lock open (additional fees apply)

  • Bikes returned at a station but not attached to a rack, as specified in the Terms of Use

  • Bikes parked on racks reserved for personal bikes — (Any rack not labeled "Reserved for dockless bikes")

These inappropriate behaviors significantly increase the risk of theft or damage, which we aim to prevent in order to protect both your safety and your finances. A flat penalty of €200 will be automatically applied in the event of theft or damage to a bike.

👉 After three penalties, access to the service is suspended.
