Introduction
To help you, we've created some examples of VIP tiers, based on the number of points earned or the amount spent.
Of course, all our tips must be adapted to your brand, your products and your average basket.
✨ To set up your tiers, follow our guides.
VIP tiers by amount spent
1st example
Assuming your average basket is around €55 - €65, we'll create 3 VIP tiers.
By setting the loyalty program's entry threshold slightly above the average basket, this encourages customers to add more items to their basket to earn the rewards offered, or to place a second order.
| Bronze Tier | Silver Tier | Gold Tier |
Amount spent | 70€ | 150€ | 400€ |
Rewards |
|
|
|
Points multiplier | x1 | x1,2 | x1,5 |
Points gain | 50 points | 80 points | 150 points |
By creating a significant gap between the Silver and Gold tiers, you encourage customers to aspire to higher status within the VIP program. This can encourage customers to increase not only the frequency of their purchases, but also the amount they spend on each transaction to reach Gold status.
Customers who reach Gold are likely to become brand ambassadors, sharing their satisfaction and recommending the brand to others, which can lead to organic growth through word-of-mouth.
2nd example
For the second example, we'll create 4 tiers.
The aim is clearly to encourage immediate customer engagement by setting the first tier at €0. This makes the program more widely accessible, encouraging customers to commit to the brand from the outset.
| Bronze Tier | Silver Tier | Gold Tier | Diamond Tier |
Amount spent | 50€ | 150€ | 300€ | 750€ |
Rewards |
|
|
|
|
Points multiplier | x1 | x1,1 | x1,3 | x1,5 |
Points gain | 50 points | 80 points | 150 points | 200 points |
The addition of a Diamond Tier at €750 underlines the aspiration to reward and recognize the most dedicated customers with even more exclusive benefits. Diamond Tier rewards can be more than material, such as an invitation to a special event or the opportunity to participate in product development. These experiences reinforce the feeling of belonging to an exclusive club, and enhance customers' value by giving them access to aspects of the brand inaccessible to the general public.
Introducing such experiences is an excellent way of creating emotional and personal links with customers, which can lead to increased loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.
VIP tiers according to points earned
Offering a VIP program based on the number of points earned encourages active customer participation, rewarding not only purchases but also commitment to missions that support the brand's growth and image.
1st example
The first tier is slightly higher than the number of points earned solely by placing orders, to encourage users to carry out missions.
| Bronze Tier | Silver Tier | Gold Tier |
Points earned | 500 | 1000 | 2000 |
Rewards |
|
|
|
Points multiplier | x1 | x1,5 | x2 |
Points gain | 50 points | 80 points | 150 points |
Here, customers accumulate points for rewards ranging from a small accessory to a medium-sized product, with point multipliers increasing at each level to stimulate rapid progression through the tiers.
2nd example
In this example, 4 tiers are available, with a Bronze tier accessible from 300 points, so that your customers are placed directly into the program.
| Bronze Tier | Silver Tier | Gold Tier | Diamond Tier |
Points earned | 300 | 600 | 1500 | 5000 |
Rewards |
|
|
|
|
Points multiplier | x1 | x1,1 | x1,3 | x1,5 |
Points gain | 50 points | 80 points | 150 points | 200 points |
The Diamond Tier rewards the most loyal customers with significantly higher points requirements. Benefits include material rewards and exclusive experiences, such as invitations to events, which recognize and value customers' long-term commitment to the brand.
💡 For total customization of your program, feel free to adapt the tier names and associated colors to suit your branding.
