Part 1: Prepare Your Import File
Proper file preparation is the key to a successful import.
Download the Template: To guarantee success, you must use our template. This ensures your column headers and formatting are correct.
Go to Contacts > Import Contacts and click the link to download the sample file.
Fill in Your Data: Open the .csv file in a spreadsheet program (like Excel or Google Sheets). Fill in your contact details without changing, moving, or deleting any of the column headers.
Save as a .csv File: When you are finished, save the file in .csv (Comma Separated Values) format. Uploading other file types like .xls or .xlsx will cause an error.
Part 2: Upload to LTL Select
From the main menu (☰), navigate to Contacts.
Click the Import Contacts button, located in the top-left area.
In the pop-up window, click Upload File. Choose your prepared .csv file from your computer and click Open.
A confirmation message will appear to let you know the upload was successful. Your contacts are now available in your LTL Select address book.
Troubleshooting Tips
If your import fails, check for these three common issues:
Wrong File Type: Your file must be saved as .csv.
Altered Headers: The column headers in your file must exactly match the template.
Missing Required Data: Ensure all required fields are filled out for every contact in your list.
