If a renewal payment fails, the invoice stays unpaid. The fastest way to fix this is to pay the invoice yourself in the client area. If you have a saved payment method, the payment is also retried automatically.
How to pay an unpaid invoice
Step 1: Open your invoices.
In the sidebar, click Financial > My Invoices.
Step 2: Pay the invoice.
Open the invoice marked Unpaid and complete the payment.
A detailed guide is in How to pay an invoice in the client area.
What happens if the invoice stays unpaid
The renewal invoice appears in the client area 14 days before the due date, and you get payment reminders by email.
If the invoice is still unpaid on the due date, your server stays online for another 24 hours. After that, the server is suspended. A suspended server is switched off, but nothing is deleted: we keep the server and all its data for 5 more days.
If the invoice is still unpaid after those 5 days, the server and its data are deleted and can't be recovered. Pay before then to keep everything.
After you pay
The invoice changes to Paid as soon as the payment reaches us. If your server was suspended because of the unpaid invoice, it is switched back on automatically.
