Roles in Magma Math

In Magma Math, every user has a designated role that determines what features and data they can access.

Each role comes with specific permissions designed to support teaching, learning, and school-wide oversight. Here’s what each role includes:

Student

  • View assignments and grades

  • Complete work and practice independently in Practice Mode

  • Review past work and progress


Teacher

  • Access classes they’re rostered to

  • Create and assign activities

  • Monitor student progress in real time

  • Provide feedback and analyze performance data


Teacher Manager

  • All Teacher permissions, plus:

  • View and support all classes in their school

  • Review assignment data and student performance trends

  • Ensure access to the right resources across classrooms


District Manager

  • Full visibility across all schools in the district

  • Access school-wide and class-level data

  • Support district-wide implementation of Common Formative Assessments (CFAs) for alignment and consistency
