Student Progress Tab

The Student Progress tab gives students a clearer view of their learning progress across assignments and practice. The goal is to help students better understand their learning and make more informed decisions about what to practice next.

Progress Overview

At the top of the Progress tab, students will see a visual progress summary showing overall growth across the skills they have worked on.

This progress view combines work from:

  • Practice

  • Assignments

The chart helps students quickly identify:

  • completed learning progress

  • strengths

  • areas for additional practice

The progress view only reflects skills students have actively attempted.

As students practice more topics, their progress view continues to expand.

Organized Practice Experience

Practice content is organized by:

  • standards

  • domains

  • related topic groupings

This structure helps students:

  • navigate practice more easily

  • stay focused within a topic

  • build understanding progressively

Guided Learning Path

Instead of jumping between isolated skills, students work within broader topic areas.

This helps:

  • reduce overwhelm

  • support deeper understanding

  • encourage more structured progression through content

  • Keep students progressing in a more structured way

What Has Not Changed

The core Magma Math experience remains the same.

Students can still:

  • solve problems on the canvas

  • show their work

  • use drawing tools

  • complete assignments and practice normally

Only the organization and visibility of progress have changed.

Why This Matters

The Student Progress tab helps students take greater ownership of their learning by making progress more visible and actionable.

Students are better able to:

  • understand their progress at a glance

  • identify areas to focus on next

  • stay motivated with clearer learning goals
