Do you have an API or MCP server? Connecting Maildoso to Claude Desktop and other AI agents

How to generate a Personal Access Token and connect Maildoso's MCP server (or REST API) to Claude Desktop or another AI agent to manage domains and mailboxes programmatically.

Yes — Maildoso has both a REST API and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so you (or your developers) can manage domains and mailboxes programmatically, or let an AI agent like Claude do it for you in plain language. For the equivalent manual, dashboard-based workflow, see Setting up domains and mailboxes.

Where to find your API token

  • Click your account email / profile icon in the top-right corner and choose Settings. The General tab opens.

  • Under API token you'll find your Personal Access Token, which authenticates both API and MCP requests. Click Copy to copy it.

  • Regenerate creates a new token and the old one stops working — only use it if the token may have leaked, and update every integration that uses it afterwards.

  • The token gives full access to your account. Store it securely and never share it publicly.

Setting up the MCP server (e.g. with Claude Desktop)

You only need two things: your API token and the MCP endpoint.

  • In Claude Desktop (or any MCP-compatible client), add the MCP server URL: https://mcp.maildoso.com/mcp and authenticate with your token.

Once connected, you can ask Claude in plain language to search available domain names, create domains or mailboxes, and export mailboxes to your sequencer — no need to click through the dashboard for each step.

Using the REST API directly

If you're integrating Maildoso into your own platform or scripts rather than an AI agent, the same token authenticates direct REST API calls — useful for multi-tenant platforms that provision domains/mailboxes for their own customers.

Still stuck?

If your token isn't authenticating, you're hitting a permissions error, or you need a capability the API doesn't currently expose (for example, bulk operations for a multi-tenant platform), contact us — see What are the available support channels? — with the specific error or use case and we'll help.
