Step 1: Start a New Project
Click Generate a new floor plan on the homepage.
Follow the prompts in the Maket chat.
Step 2: Add Foundational Elements
In the chat, you'll be asked to provide some basic information so that we can start to build your plan:
# of floors
Floor area
Layout shape
Rooms
Step 3: View Your New Plan
Once you provide the necessary information, Maket will generate a floorplan for you, complete with furniture, to bring your design to life. The plan will appear on the canvas to the right of the chat, where you can explore and make any changes you want.
Tip: While your floor plan is being generated, stay on the page to avoid interrupting the process. If you try to navigate away, you'll see a warning to confirm — generation typically takes a couple minutes.
Step 4: Generate Another Layout
Not fully happy with the first option provided? Don't worry - you can easily generate alternatives. Maket will ask whether you'd simply like to see a different option with the same initial inputs provided, or if you want to start again from scratch.
If you're not completely sure what you want, you can also have a conversation with Maket to ask any clarifying questions before moving forward!
Troubleshooting
If your floor plan doesn't finish generating:
Stay on the page while generating. Refreshing or navigating away will interrupt the process — you'll see a warning if you try to leave.
Try starting a fresh project rather than retrying in the same one.
Multi-floor plans may take longer to generate. Give it time before refreshing.
