How to Raise and Track Requests on Shared Assets

Description:
Learn how to raise requests for shared assets and track their progress. This guide walks you through the process step by step.

How to Raise a Request

You can raise a request either from the Shared Asset Organisation Page or directly from the Shared Asset Detail Page.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Click “Create Request”

    • You’ll find this button on both the organisation page (that shared assets with you) and on each shared asset detail page.

  2. The Create Request Drawer Opens
You’ll see a form with the following required fields:

    • Select Asset

    • Choose Request Type

    • Request Title

Additional fields may appear based on the request type selected. These can include:

    • Work Order Description

    • Custom fields (e.g. single-select dropdowns)

  3. Select Asset

    • If you clicked Create Request from the organisation page:
The Select Asset dropdown will show only the assets shared by that organisation.

    • If you clicked Create Request from the shared asset detail page:
The asset will be pre-selected and cannot be changed.

  4. Choose Request Type
Select the type of request you want to raise (e.g. Work Order, Service Request).

  5. Enter Request Title
Add a clear and descriptive title for your request.

  6. Fill in Any Additional Fields
Based on your selected request type, more fields may appear. Make sure to complete them if they are required.

  7. Click “Create Request”
Once all required fields are filled, click this button to submit your request.

How to Track Your Requests

  1. Go to AssetHub > Requests.

  2. You’ll see a list of requests raised on your shared assets.

  3. Click on any request to view its status, details, and updates from the sharer.
