Inventory Management

We’ve introduced Inventory Management in Makula to help you track part stock levels, costs, and usage across Work Orders giving you complete visibility and control over spare parts and consumables.


What’s New

Add and Manage Stock

  • Add stock when creating or editing a part in the stock tab.

  • Each entry includes Stock Count, Cost per Part, and Comment.

  • View all stock entries under the Stock section with quantity, cost, and comments.

  • Editing or deleting stock entries is restricted if it would reduce total stock below the consumed quantity.

Real-Time Tracking and Stock Adjustments

  • Stock updates automatically when parts are added or removed from Work Orders.

  • Inline error appears if users attach more parts than available.

  • Deleting a Work Order or removing a part restocks it automatically.

  • Same logic applies in the Customer Portal.

  • View updated values in the Parts Table View and Parts CSV exports.

  • Total Cost automatically reflects your company’s selected currency.

Activity Log

  • All stock actions (add, edit, delete, usage) are tracked in the Part’s Activity Log.

  • Logs show which parts were attached to which Work Orders and how many units were used.

Currency Configuration

  • Set your company’s default currency in Settings → Company Info → General tab.

  • Supports major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).

  • Selected currency appears in the Total Cost section of Parts Inventory.

CSV Export Update

  • Parts CSV export now includes:

    • Available Stock

    • Consumed Stock


Why It Matters

Inventory Management helps you:

  • Track real-time stock and total cost

  • Monitor which parts are used in which Work Orders

  • Maintain cost visibility in your preferred currency
