What is a portal in Makula?

A portal is a shared workspace that gives your customers access to their assets, documentation, and the ability to raise requests. Portals are linked to companies and allow you to control exactly what information is shared with each customer.

How do I access Portals?

Navigation: Open your Field Service workspace, then select Portals from the sidebar.

Why use portals?

Portals help you:

  • Share assets: Give customers access to view their assigned assets

  • Share documentation: Provide manuals, specifications, and other documents

  • Enable requests: Allow customers to raise service requests directly

  • Control access: Decide which attributes and information are visible to each customer

  • Collaborate: Share files through the shared drive feature

How are portals linked to companies?

Each portal is linked to a company. When you create a portal, you either select an existing company or create a new one. The assets assigned to that company can then be shared through the portal.
