Introduction to Machine Template

The Machine Template feature simplifies the process of creating new machines by enabling users to utilize pre-defined templates. This functionality automates the inclusion of machine images, descriptions, and documentation, streamlining the setup process and saving users valuable time.

Accessing Machine Template Feature

To access the Machine Template feature, navigate to “Assets” and click on the “Template” tab. If there are existing templates they will be listed here. If no template exists, you can add a new template by following

Automatic Inclusions

Machine Images

The machine image associated with the selected template is automatically added to the new machine profile.

Descriptions

Descriptions outlining the machine's features, specifications, and intended use are included.

Documentation

Essential documents, manuals, or guides related to the machine are attached, ensuring users have access to necessary information.

Type of Machines Templates

There are two types of machine templates

Machine Template: This template is used to create identical machines.

Line Template: This template is used to create the machines that are part of a production line.

Components of Template

The template has the following components

General Information: This section shows basic information about the template including the image and description. This section is only available for the “Machine Template” type of the template.
