Assign Teams When Creating Customers, Production Lines, and Machines

This article describes how you can assign team during customer and assets creation

Assign Teams When Creating Customer

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Customers module and select “Add a customer”

  2. Select one or more teams from the Assign team dropdown

    1. When Super Admin is adding a customer, assigning a team is optional.

    2. When an Admin who is not part of any team is adding a customer, assigning a team is optional.

    3. When an Admin who is part of a team is adding a customer, assigning a team is required. Admin must select at least one team from the list of teams to which the admin is assigned.

  3. Select ”Add facility” to create the facility with a team(s) assigned.

    1. All the Production lines and machines of the facility will be added to the team.

    2. The team(s) will see the work orders from the customer.

NOTES:

  • If there are work orders from the facility that are assigned to a user or the user was added as a follower

    • The user will stay as an assignee/follower of the work order if the user is not a member of any other team.

    • The user will stay as an assignee/follower of the work order if the work order machine is assigned to a team in which the user is a member. The user will stay as an assignee in this case even though the facility is not assigned to the user team.

    • The user will be removed as an assignee/follower of the work order if the user is a member of a team that does not have access to the facility, production line of the machine, or the machine itself.


Assign Teams When Creating Production Line

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Assets module and select “Add a production line” in the Production line tab.

  2. Select one or more teams from the Assign team dropdown

    1. When Super Admin is adding a production line, assigning a team is optional.

    2. When an Admin who is not part of any team is adding a production line, assigning a team is optional.

    3. When an Admin who is part of a team is adding a production line, assigning a team is required. Admin must select at least one team from the list of teams to which the admin is assigned.

  3. Select ”Add production line” to add the production line to the team.

    1. All the machines of the facility will be added to the team.

    2. The team(s) will see the work orders for the machines of this production line.

NOTES:

  • If there are work orders from the production line machine that are assigned to a user or the user was added as a follower

    • The user will stay as an assignee/follower of the work order if the user is not a member of any other team.

    • The user will stay as an assignee/follower of the work order if the work order machine is assigned to a team in which the user is a member. The user will stay as an assignee in this case even though the facility is not assigned to the user team.

    • The user will be removed as an assignee/follower of the work order if the user is a member of a team that does not have access to the facility, production line of the machine, or the machine itself.

  1. Navigate to the Assets module and select “Add a machine” in the Machines tab.

  2. Select one or more teams from the Assign team dropdown

    1. When Super Admin is adding a machine, assigning a team is optional.

    2. When an Admin who is not part of any team is adding a machine, assigning a team is optional.

    3. When an Admin who is part of a team is adding a machine, assigning a team is required. Admin must select at least one team from the list of teams to which the admin is assigned.

  3. Select ”Add machine” to create a machine with the team assigned.

    1. The team(s) will see the work orders from the machine.
