Matidor templates define what data is stored and how they are presented. Only Workspace Managers can manage templates.

Template types

There are 5 types of templates in Matidor: Project template, work template, budget template, cost template and user template.

  • You can configure multiple templates for project and work.

  • You can configure a single template for budget, cost and user.

The template fields page consists of 3 panels:

Standard fields

Standard fields come with the system and cannot be added or removed. Certain standard fields in the template can be enabled/disabled. Click the eye icon

to toggle the visibility of the standard field.

  1. Choose the type of field from the Field Selection panel (left), and drag it onto the Form Designer panel (middle).

  2. The details of the field will be displayed on the Field Properties panel (right).

  3. For project or work fields: You may also save a custom field into the Custom Fields Library in order to reuse it in another template. See Custom Field Library for more information.

  4. The field label must be unique within a template, and must not conflict with any saved custom fields.

Project Templates Settings

In a Project Template, under Template Settings, you can choose to allow tracking of Work and/or Budget. You can also choose which types of work to make available for a project template:

Work Template Settings

Work approval

In Work Templates, you can enable work approval in the template settings. When enabled, the work will require the approval from the project manager before closing.

See Work Approval for more information about the approval workflow.

Work default subtasks

In Work Templates, you can create a list of default subtasks in the template setting. The list of default subtasks will be automatically added to the work created using this template.

Work location

In Work Template, you can enable work location by toggling the location switch in the template setting. When users add a work of this template, they will be asked to specify a location on the map. Learn more about Map Drawings.

When work location is enabled, you can choose a default shape and style to represent it on the map.

Note that if you want to apply different styles according to some condition of the work, you can toggle the "Dynamic style." Once turned on, you can choose a dropdown field from this template, and assign a different style to each of the dropdown value. Learn more about Dynamic styles.
