This article explains how to configure a Matidor workspace. Note: Only Workspace Manager can configure a workspace.
Understanding the Matidor Data Structure
Let’s first understand how data is organized in Matidor.
| Description |
Workspace | The highest level of organization where project data, users, templates are stored and configured. |
Portfolio | An optional group of projects, created by users. |
Project | A unit of activities at a certain location, to be performed over time. |
Subproject | When a project becomes too big, often involving multiple phases in its lifecycle, subprojects are used to track each phase. Subprojects are optional. |
Work | Work items represent smaller unit of activities, such as forms or tasks, to be performed in a project. |
Subtask | Subtasks are steps required to complete a work. Subtasks are optional. |
Budget | Budgets represent the financial allocations to the project. |
Cost code | Cost codes are set up to categorize budget spendings. |
Cost | A cost ticket, or a record of budget spending. |
File | Files are important attachments to a project (or work), such as photos, reports, survey plans, etc. |
Configuring a Workspace
You can configure the workspace’s general settings, users, templates, fields, cost codes, vendors and integrations under the Settings menu on the left navigation area. Note: Only Workspace Managers can update the workspace settings.
