Instead of creating the same field across different templates, it is best to save the commonly used custom fields into the Custom Field Library and reuse them. This avoids having to create duplicated fields across different templates.
When adding a new custom field, choose the “Save to custom field library” option.
The saved custom fields can be reused in other templates. Note: Fields from the custom field library can only be added once per template.
