Overview
Maxanet lets you add brand-new inventory items to an auction after it has already ended, so you can invoice bidders for items that were added last-minute, sold in person at pickup, or missed during the main auction. Offline Items are created from the Invoices tab and then added to any bidder's invoice — useful for add-on purchases, items found after the auction, or corrective additions.
How to open the Offline Items workflow in Maxanet
From your Maxanet Admin panel, go to Auction → Invoices tab on the auction dashboard. Near the top of the page is a blue Offline Items button. Click it to open the Offline Items pop-up.
How to create a new offline item
In the Offline Items pop-up, click the green Add button. Fill out the new item form with the details — make sure to give the new item an Item number that is not already in use in this auction (Maxanet enforces unique item numbers). Click Save. The page returns to the Invoices tab.
How to add the offline item to a bidder's invoice
Back on the Invoices tab, find the invoice you want to add the new offline item to. Click the 3-dot Actions menu on the far right of that row and select Edit. On the Edit Invoice screen, click the grey +Add More button near the bottom. Start typing the item name to auto-populate the Item field, fill in the Consignor and Fees columns if applicable, and enter the final price in the Amount field. Click the green Update button to save the addition to the invoice.
How to collect payment on the added offline item
If the bidder is paying at pickup or immediately, click the 3-dot Actions menu on the updated invoice and select Make Payment. Choose the payment method (Credit Card, Cash, Check, Other) and record the payment. Maxanet updates the invoice total to reflect the new item and the payment status accordingly.

Common questions
Can I add an offline item to a brand-new bidder who doesn't have an invoice yet?
Yes. Create a new invoice first using the green Add button on the Invoices tab, then follow the same +Add More workflow to attach the offline item to the new invoice.
What item number should I use for an offline item?
Any number that is not already in use in this auction. Maxanet rejects duplicate item numbers — pick something outside your existing range to avoid conflicts.
Will an offline item show on the public auction page?
No. Offline items added after the auction has ended are internal-only and appear on bidder invoices, not on the public bidding page.
Can I add fees to an offline item like I would a regular item?
Yes. The Fees column in the Edit Invoice workflow accepts the same Global Fees as regular auction items — Buyer Premium, Sales Tax, custom fees.
