Need to apply different kilometer rates for commuting versus professional trips? Or maybe you want separate reporting for each trip type? With the Car Professional Allowance feature, employees can log their trips and specify the purpose,so each trip gets the right treatment automatically.
You can now find this benefit in Mobility Hub.
Once the benefit is available in the system, the employee can view and activate it directly on their profile. Alternatively, the HR admin team can activate this benefit for the employee.
❗ Only employees who are both eligible for and have activated this benefit will see the option to mark trips as professional.
How employees log professional trips
When adding a new trip to the calendar, employees will see an extra toggle: Professional purpose.
Visual distinction:
Professional trips appear in blue
Commute trips appear in green
A new allowance is automatically created for professional trips, with a dedicated payroll code ready for export.
How to enable trip separation without allowances
You don't need to distribute allowances to use this feature. Simply enable trip separation for tracking purposes:
Go to Settings ⚙️ > Customisation
Enable Allow Car Commute and Professional Trips
