As an employee using Mbrella Charge, you may need to add a personal payment method to cover charging sessions that fall outside your company's policies or exceed your allocated budget. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to add a payment method:

Navigate to Payment Settings

  • You can access it through the home page with the alert pop-up

  • Or, look for a menu icon, at the top left of the screen

  • Tap on the menu and go into the settings

  • Select payment method

  • Click on Add payment method

Choose Payment Type

Mbrella Charge offers several payment options

  • Credit Card

  • Bancontact

  • iDEAL

Select the payment type you prefer to use.

  • Enter Payment Details

Verify and Confirm

  • Double-check all entered information for accuracy.

  • When choosing Bancontact or iDEAL as your payment method, you will redirected to your app of choice to verify your payment method through a small test transaction of 0,02€ or 0,01€. When this is done, you will be redirected to the Mbrella Charge app and you should get a success screen. Afterwards, the small amount will be reimbursed to your bank account.

  • Set as Default (Optional)

Important Notes:

  • This personal payment method will only be used for charging sessions that exceed your company's policies or budget limits.

  • Your company will not have access to your personal payment information.

  • You can add multiple payment methods and switch between them if needed.

  • Keep your payment information up to date to avoid any interruptions in service.

If you encounter any issues while adding a payment method or have questions about when it will be used, please contact Mbrella Charge support through the in-app chat feature or email charge.support@mbrella.eu

Remember, adding a personal payment method ensures you can always charge your vehicle, even if you exceed company limits or use non-approved charging stations. It's a good practice to have this set up, even if you don't anticipate needing it immediately.
