💡 Not everyone needs to add a payment method, this depends on the settings & configuration of your employer.

Why is a payment method needed if my employer is paying?:

  • In some cases, the cost of your charging session might be outside of the limits set by your employer:

    • 🌐 charging abroad while your employer doesn’t allow you to do so

    • ⏩ using expensive fast chargers that exceed your company's limits

    • 💰 charging more than your allocated charging budget

  • In such cases, we won’t block you from charging your vehicle. Instead, if we have your payment method, the system can automatically handle these exceptions without interrupting your charging experience.

Why do I need to enter my payment method when switching countries?

  • Different countries have varying regulations for electric vehicle charging and payment processing. By entering a new payment method, Mbrella Charge ensures compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Currency Differences: Different countries often use different currencies. Having a local payment method can help avoid foreign transaction fees and ensure smoother processing.
