Meadow's audit log is built to help control some of the hardest problems in retail. Fight shrinkage and increase security through transparency and accountability.
Where did this crazy discount come from? Who changed my prices? Why are my settings messed up? Who added or removed this system admin? Let's find out!
Use the audit log to fine tune your team permissions and ensure your team have the ability to do what they need to (but not more).
Ensure compliance by reviewing and addressing any actions that violate regulations.
Note: access to this feature is restricted to admins with full permissions.
Use the Audit Log (under Settings -> Audit Log) to see a list of every important action in the system, including details such as:
What action was performed.
Which admin performed it.
A timestamp of when exactly the action occurred (to the second).
Where (IP address) it was performed.
Filtering and Searching the Audit Log
A list of every action taken in the system can get pretty long fast - so we've included the ability to filter and search the list to find what you are looking for:
Filter by admin
See only actions performed by the selected user.
Filter by date
Select a "from date" to see actions that happened on or after a date.
Select a "to date" to see actions that happened on or before a date.
Select a from and to dates to search for actions within a date range.
Filter by action category and subcategory
See only actions of a specific type, for example all changes related to your Products or Settings.
Once a category has been selected, a new dropdown will appear below it to select from available subcategories (such as product edits, changes to menu settings, etc.)
Viewing an Audit Log Entry
Once you've found the actions you are looking for, view them to see more detail.
Event Details will display based on the specific action performed.
Links to the place the action was performed are shown next to "Affected Resources," such as links to a product that was edited, a customer profile that was created, etc.
Some of these locations may no longer exists (for example when an admin is deleted, their profile can't be viewed any more) but the details of the action will be preserved in the Audit Log and under Event Details for that entry.
For some actions, a detailed "Change" entry shows any data that was removed with a "-" and any data that was added with a "+" sign.
Page-specific Audit Logs
In addition to the central audit log which lists every action, audit logs are also accessible from specific pages by clicking the actions menu (button with the three dots in the top right corner).
