Start delivering to your customers through online ordering

Updated over a week ago

Setting up delivery on Meadow allows you to expand the ways your customers can order their favorite products. Let's get started!

Optional: Set up an Onfleet account and integrate with Meadow (not required but highly recommended) - Meadow's integration with Onfleet is a powerful tool for any delivery operation, decreasing your average delivery time and improving customer satisfaction.

Once you have an Onfleet account, here is how you can generate or find your API key within Onfleet:

  • Click Settings (gear icon)

  • Click API & Webhooks

    • If there is already an API Key, click 'Edit', copy the API Key, and enter it here

    • If there is not an API Key, hit the +

      • For Name, enter Meadow

      • Click 'Create Key'

      • Click 'Edit', copy the API Key and enter it here

Entering an Onfleet API key in Meadow Admin

Step 1: Set up your online ordering channels

To begin, make sure that you have the Meadow embedded menu on your website. By directing customers to order from your website, you free up more time for your staff.
(If you do not have this set up, please reach out in the Meadow chat).

If you do accept phone orders, orders can be directly created from Meadow Admin from here: https://admin.getmeadow.com/orders/create/select

Step 2: Set up your delivery settings

To set up online ordering for delivery, go to your Admin settings and click 'Delivery'. This page allows you to edit your delivery settings how you see fit, such as:

  • Providing a delivery time estimate

  • Allowing customers to order outside your business hours

  • Entering the delivery postal codes you service

To finish turning on delivery, toggle the 'Allow online ordering (delivery)' to "Yes".

To set up Dynamic Delivery (aka trunk by trunk or ice cream truck model), reach out in the help chat.

Step 3: Set up delivery notifications

To be notified when new orders come in, set up text/email notifications by going to your Admin settings and clicking 'Notifications'.

Step 4: Verify your delivery inventory location

Make sure you are pulling products from the correct inventory location when an order comes in by going to your Admin settings and clicking 'Inventory'.

You have now successfully set up delivery through online ordering! Any new orders will appear on the 'New' tab of the orders page.
